Understanding oral pathology may involve identifying the common and classic oral soft tissue lesions seen in dental patients. It’s important for the evaluation of differential diagnoses and treatments.

Dr. Bryan Trump joins DOCS Education to present Oral Pathology Made Easi(er): Common & Classic Lesions. Through lecture and examples, this interactive course will comprise of problem-solving and critical thinking that will ultimately benefit our patients.

Learning Objectives:

• Learn and review current terminology used in oral pathology.
• Determine normal, variations from normal, and abnormal lesions.
• Recognize soft and hard tissue entities commonly found in the oral and maxillofacial region.
• Identify the most common benign neoplasm of the oral cavity.
• Discuss different treatments and potential outcomes.

About the Presenter(s):

Dr. Bryan Trump is a Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Pathologist and full-time Associate Professor at The University of Utah School of Dentistry. Growing up near Salt Lake City, Utah, Dr. Trump attended Weber State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. His DDS is from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, and he completed his Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology Residency as well as a master’s in biomedical sciences at Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry. He has established a clinical referral center focused on oral medicine at the dental school and directs Utah’s first and only oral pathology biopsy service. His laboratory serves dentists throughout the Intermountain West.
